About Us
Milltown Wine Co.
Wine & Beer to Enjoy in the Moment
Mill Town Wine Company was started out of a passion for people as well as a love and excitement for wine. Both growing up in Central MA, we were eager to return to the comfort of our tight-knit hometowns after college. Once we met in the city of Worcester, our love for bringing people together with great wine grew along with our love for one another. Our goal is to encourage everyone to find joy in the moment, something that is so crucial in these times. We found that drinking wines that tell a story about the people who made them is a beautiful way to connect with others and just enjoy. That is the core of what we will bring to the table with Mill Town Wine Co: everyday wines for everyday people.
Meet The Founders
Molly Dickinson & Pat Mahoney
Owners
Patrick and Molly were born in Worcester, MA and grew up in the surrounding area, Rochdale and Shrewsbury respectively. They played an active role in their communities; Molly working as an after-school aid/nanny and Patrick being a three season student athlete and the 2x recipient of the title “Mr. Leicester”. He got sucked into the world of beer and wine first, enlisting in a job as a busboy at 19 while attending Emmanuel College. After working his way up the ranks at Ribelle in Brookline and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Patrick set off back home to be on the opening team of Deadhorse hill. It was there in Worcester where the two met; Molly had just returned home to find another direction after pursuing a Bachelor’s of Psychology/Elementary Education for two years. She got a job there as a hostess and once they locked eyes at an early staff meeting, it seemed their gazes never shifted from each other for the entirety of the time at the restaurant. Both of them had the same drive to make people happy and insatiable hunger to learn more about wine/food. They had the pleasure of learning under some seriously talented people who were extremely passionate about what they did, all the while teaching each other as well. It was clear that doing their own thing was a matter of time. Once the pandemic hit, things went truly full circle and they felt it was time to take a leap of faith. Pat and Molly sold their house in Worcester, and moved back home to start up Mill Town in hopes of sharing their love of wine, beer, and warm hospitality with their home community. Fast forward to 2021 after the hardest, most confusing years of their lives, they’re here to welcome you to sip, learn, and enjoy the moment.
